Overview
The 263A potentiostat/galvanostat is the ideal system for many laboratories. It is perfect for the budget-conscious researcher who needs high performance. The 263A can be upgraded with many different options as detailed below. This impressive combination of price and performance makes it a tremendous value for today's electrochemist or corrosion scientist. The Model 263A is our most versatile potentiostat/galvanostat. It has 200 mA current capability, can be boosted up to 20 Amps, and has a + 8V scanning range. It is capable of being interfaced into an optional impedance system with a frequency response up to 100 kHz. The 263A can be outfitted with a floating option to allow it to be used with earth-grounded working electrodes. The 263A-1 is the version with a blank front panel. Virtual Potentiostat software is supplied with this version to provide a functional front-panel feel. The 263A-2 has a fully-functional front panel. Either unit, when matched with the powerful PowerSuite software (sold separately), will be the most versatile instrument in your laboratory.
The Model 263A is an ideal box for performing corrosion measurements and general electrochemistry. It is the most popular instrument for universities as it is a very flexible instrument at a great price. With the high-current capability of the 263A, it is able to address applications in the battery, fuel cell, and supercapacitor areas. The 263A/98 Auxiliary Input option provides an external input to the analog-to-digital converter. This lets the researcher interface to ancillary devices such as rotating electrodes, quartz crystal microbalances, and temperature controllers.
