Maintenance companies in airports / aircraft maintenance centers
Suppliers of metal / composite parts & modules for airplanes / helicopters
Application: Earth bonding / Metallisation
Detect and eliminate the difference of potential between metal and composite parts in order to avoid sparks
Principle: While in flight, an airplane may become highly charged with static electricity because of its relatively high electrical conductivity.
If the airplane is improperly bonded (metal parts not 100% electrically connected together), static charges are not evenly spread over each metal part, they could accumulate and increase the potential until it leads to an ignition.

AOIP Products are applying in Cable manufacturers
Cable installation companies
Application:
Resistivity measurement of cables= Quality control of electric cables in terms of length / material quality
Principle:
A high cable resistance means a lower quality of current carrying (heating up of the cable when the maximum rated current is flowing), while a low cable resistance means the
manufacturer is being too generous on the cable diameter (much more expensive given the price of copper).
OM 21 features to highlight:
– High resolution: 0.1 µOhm
– Automatic compensation of the sample temperature and of thermal EMFs
– Display in Ohm / Km
AOIP Products are applying in Energy field
Electricity distribution substations
Application:
Bonding / Earthing in substations
Principle:
In substations, bonding and earthing connections must be regularly measured to ensure safet y, i.e. to achieve and maintain low resistance joint:
Copper earthing systems are found on every equipment in substations and must be regularlycontrolled, as well as the electrical connection between components that must remain at the
same potential.
Product features to highlight:
– Robust design suitable for field use
– Low sensitive to high magnetic fields found in substations
